Double Glazing Company: NRWAS - York

Offering good quality windows, but subcontract the installation. If the installation is going wrong then you are in big trouble. Most of the time you talk with answering machine, and even if you get to the secretary she could lie to you. I would recomment to go for local installer not this company. Here is my ongoing story. On 14th May 2009, they started installation of replacement double glazed UPVC windows at my property. It was immediately apparent that the installation was not appropriate and we agreed to suspend the installation and make an independent survey of the installation work. The independent surveyor appointed by the Advisory Service confirmed that the replacement windows were fitted inappropriately. In their letter dated 3 June 2009 they agreed with this fact. On 8th June 2009 they have received by recorded delivery my letter where I proposed the plan for the rectification process. However, they have not responded to the letter and ignored my several attempts to contact you by telephone. Moreover, the secretary of the company told me, that the managing director have not recieved my letter because he was on holidays, but on the Royal Mail proof of delivery it was clearly his signature. In fact, I have not heard anything from them until 8 July 2009. Then I wrote another letter giving them 14 days to resume the project or I will go legal and rescind the contract. In the reply to the letter they changed their position and said that "my wishes can not be fulfilled" and I am in the breach of contract not acting reasonably and accepting idustry standards. Now I am preparing the legal case....
